Not sure what to do after A-Levels? Need help exploring your options, choosing a course, preparing an application or planning your next steps?
The PTEM Careers Section is here to help. You can come to us with questions, concerns or even just a rough idea of what you want to explore. Our role is to help you understand your options and make informed decisions about your future — not to make those decisions for you.
8.00 AM – 12.00 PM
Monday–Thursday and Saturday
Excluding public and school holidays.
To help us make the most of our time together, here are a few things to consider before coming in.
1. Know what you need help with
Think about why you want a consultation. Are you exploring possible careers, comparing university courses, looking for scholarships or working on an application? It's okay if you're not entirely sure, however, having a starting point helps.
2. Do a little research first
Try exploring the resources available on the PTEM Careers website, Google Classroom or CES logbook. If you've already looked into some options, let us know what you've found and what you're still unsure about.
3. Come with questions or a rough plan
You don't need to have all the answers. Bring along any questions, ideas or options you've been considering. If you're comparing courses or universities, for example, it helps to know what matters most to you and what you've found so far.
4. Be ready to reflect and take the next step
Consultation is a two-way process. We'll help you explore possibilities, work through challenges and identify practical next steps. You may leave with more research to do, decisions to consider or actions to follow up on.
Booking an appointment is recommended, especially if you have a specific issue you'd like to discuss or need more time for a detailed consultation.
However, walk-ins are welcome! If we're available, we'll do our best to assist you. Please understand that students with existing appointments may need to be seen first.
Come and talk to us, you don't have to figure everything out on your own.
