Attachments, volunteering and part time jobs are a wonderful way to explore your interests!
Important notice: You will normally have to arrange for your own attachments / volunteering opportunities / part time jobs. We do not arrange them for you.
However, should you require further documentation, you could approach us to help with the paperwork to verify that you are a student studying with us. Send us an email and we can help you from there.
STEP 1: Identify where you would like to perform your attachment/volunteering/part-time work
STEP 2: If available, we will provide you with contact information of the place where you would like to do your attachment. If unavailable, you will have to approach your desired attachment place for information regarding the procedures of applying for attachment there as well as a contact person that will be in in charge of your attachment. You should also make clear which department within the company/institution you would like to do your attachment.
STEP 3: You will likely be required to:-
update your resume or CV
prepare passport photos
photocopy proof of identity e.g. I.C, passport or driving license
photocopy proof of qualifications (latest & highest predicted grades)
photocopy of other additional relevant certificates
provide reference letter from school's Careers Section (which we will provide for you)
STEP 4: You should agree with the company/institution on the duration and in which department you are assigned to before approaching the Careers Section for a formal letter of recommendation from the school. This letter is to be signed by the Principal (or if unavailable, on behalf by the Deputy Principals)
STEP 5: You shall collect a prepared letter from the Careers Section to be given to your attachment company/institution. Careers team shall email you once the letter is ready within 3-5 working days from the day of STEP 4 above.
STEP 6: You should inform the Careers Section upon completion of your attachment and fill in the attachment completion form. This form will be useful to highlight experiences gained from doing attachments to your fellow peers, and to be put in your personal file.
These attachments will normally require a letter of support from Careers.
These attachments might not require a letter of support from Careers.
