South Korea is known for its advanced technology, beauty care products and k-pop culture. South Korea is fairly affordable compared to the UK, and some courses offered are taught in English, especially at US universities with a campus in Korea. Students normally apply directly to the university.
The South Korean government also occasionally offers scholarships through its embassy in Brunei so be on the look out. The main objective of the scholarship program is to provide international students with an opportunity to conduct advanced studies at higher educational institutions in Korea and to promote international exchanges and mutual friendship between Korea and Brunei.
All costs such as airfares, monthly allowances, settlement allowances, repatriation allowances, medical insurances, as well as undergraduate tuitions and language training expenses will be fully supported by the Korean Government.
However, because of the competitiveness of embassy scholarships, most students who end up in Korea normally self-fund.
